I was born and raised in Okeechobee, Florida

Nothing was ever handed to me. From the time I could keep up, I was working cows before daylight, wrestling posts out of the ground, and learning that if you want anything in this world you either build it, fix it, or fight for it, usually all three before breakfast.

Every dollar I earned, every tool I picked up, every skill I learned came from those long days and plenty of busted knuckles. That kind of hunger to get by shaped me into someone who can fix or build just about anything—and try to make it hold up better than it started.

In my twenties I put myself through farrier school because I couldn’t imagine a life that didn’t start to finish wasn’t spent around good horses. I came out shaping shoes the old-school way, the way that keeps a horse traveling sound when the trail gets long and rough. Horses are still my soft spot, and the Black Mouth Curs I raise, well, they’re the only crew I’ve ever known that’ll work harder than I do and never ask for a paycheck. 

When times were tight and a good saddle was out of reach, I figured I’d try building my own. I taught myself, one stubborn stitch at a time, turning what we needed into something that could last. Now, I make pieces meant to be ridden hard and passed down through generations.

I never forgot the hard times that raised me, and I’ll still outwork, outfix, and outlast anyone who thinks the world owes them a thing.

 

A real cowboy is measured plain and simple: by the word he gives, the work he finishes, the horses he keeps sound, and the old dog that never once let him down.
