About Nina-Creative Farm Girl
Meet Nina McNamar: Creative Farm Girl
Nestled on the sun-kissed acres of Plant City, Florida—where my family’s homestead has stood since the late 1800s—I’m Nina McNamar, a proud wife, hands-on mom, and lifelong farm girl who still gets excited about a fresh set of tools and a blank piece of leather.
Raised under sprawling oaks and surrounded by strawberry fields, I’ve spent my life turning raw materials into something beautiful and useful. I started my design career creating soda and beer cans (yes, really), moved on to giant billboards and vehicle wraps for a sign company in ’97, then spent years crafting immersive graphics for a major Tampa theme park. After more than a decade in the corporate world, I came home—literally—and built Creative Farm Girl so I could pour everything I’ve learned into work that feels like me.
You’ll still find me covered in sawdust from woodworking, elbow-deep in the garden, or elbowing my way through a new recipe with whatever the farm gave us that week. I’m obsessed with animals, sustainability, and giving forgotten things a second life—whether that’s old barn wood turned into custom signs or cast-off leather scraps reborn as something you’ll carry forever.
And that brings me to my newest love: leatherwork and handbags. Every piece is made by hand, cut from full-grain, buttery leather that only gets better with age. My bags—totes, crossbodies, clutches, and whatever the mood calls for—are built to work as hard as a farm morning but look right at home on a city night out. A little Florida soul shows up in the details: hand-painted scenes, earthy natural dyes, and hardware that feels like it was forged on the back forty. These aren’t fast-fashion pieces; they’re the kind you hand down one day.
From graphic design to leather craft, everything I make is rooted in the same belief: good work honors where you came from and still takes you wherever you want to go.
Come on in, kick off your boots (or keep ’em on), and let’s make something that lasts.
